Sentry
Cost: 1000
Mana: 5/250
A single Sentry trap is only good for scaring away enemy Imps. To do real damage with them, you need a battery of them, with somrthing to keep the enemy away for a few moments, such as a barricade, Fear trap or Freeze trap

Fear
Cost: 750
Mana: 5/125
Vampires, Skeletons and any creature that has been in the Casino for to long can dismantle a Fear  trap in no time, but eveyone else takes a time out while they work up the nerve to approach (if ever). Use to protect traps such as the Sentry trap and Lightning trap and slow down enemy assaults along certain routes.

Alarm
Cost: 500

Not particularly useful unless you keep getting yourself caught up in other jobs

Gas
Cost: 600
Mana: 5/-
Invisible
On its own, a Gas trap can just about scare of an Imp. Best used in a long line along a long thin corridor when they can cause serious damage. Not triggered by fliers.

Spike
Cost: 750
Mana :5/-
Invisible
Best used as the Gas trap, in a long line, where it can be even more deadly. Not triggered by fliers.

Trigger
Cost: 300
Mana: 5/-

An oddity to play around with.
This trap sets of any trap in the tiles next to it, so can be used in a line to remote trigger a Boulder trap or delay the firing of Sentry and freeze traps until the enemy crosses a certain tile. Not triger by fliers.

Boulder
Cost: 1500
Mana: 5/-
Boulders cause damage equal to half the health of the creature that it hits and cause more damage to stunned creatures. If a creature gets hit by enough boulders, it will die. Boulders cause damage to your creatures as well as the enemies.
Boulders will cause damage to Dungeon Hearts (yours will cause damage to your own) so can be used to take out enemy hearts.
A boulders direction can be changed by slapping it,and it will bounce of any walls it hits as well, so beware of where you set them up.
A Boulder takes damage from rolling.
If you are using the patched version of the game it takes damage from slaps and from hitting creatures as well.

Freeze
Cost: 1500
Mana: 5/-
Invisible
Use with Sentry and Lightning traps. It freezes creatures on the tile in place, allowing you more time to hit them with your creatures and allows your other traps to get more shots in. Not triggered y fliers.

Lightning
Cost: 3000
Mana: 25/375
Place behind Barracades and Fear traps and with Sentry traps and over looking water for best results. This causes damage and stuns the enemy. If they are standing in water or have Lightning abilities (Misstress, Fairy), it will also cause increased damage.

Fireburst
Cost: 6000
Mana: 10/250
Invisible
Subtle. Not. It causes lots of damage (enough to kill some lower-level creatures. And can do it again and again until it is destroyed. (Patched versions of the game do more damage)

Notes
Cost is the cost in gold to bulid one.
Mana has two values, one is the per second cost to maintain the trap and the second is the cost when the trap fires.
If the word Invisible is there, the trap cannot be seen until the the trap is fired.
Some traps will not work unless they are trodden on, the description tells you if Fliers won't set the trap off.
